99 people died when a cable bridge over Machhu river collapsed in Gujarat’s Morbi town on Sunday evening. This bridge was about a century old. Officials said the bridge, which was reopened to the public four days ago after repairs, was crowded. He said that the bridge broke at around 6.30 pm.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel canceled all the programs on the information of the accident on Sunday and moved to Morbi. Reaching Morbi late in the night, first consoled the injured at the scene of the incident and then at the hospital. So for the rescue, with the help of NDRF and SDRF teams, the help of the Air Force is being taken, but in the midst of all this, the big question is who is responsible for this accident.
SDRF and police are already present at the spot. The management team of the bridge has been booked under sections 304, 308 and 114 of the IPC. Sanghvi also visited the spot.
