Desk : The demand for fitment factor to increase the salary on behalf of the central employees can be stamped. It is to be known that the dearness allowance of central employees has been increased in the past. After the hike, the dearness allowance (DA) of the employees has gone up to 38 percent. At the same time, increasing the fitment factor is being considered. In such a situation, salary is expected to increase. Explain that there is a standard for fixing the salary of central employees.
Explain that the minimum salary of central employees based on the fitment factor is Rs 18,000. Now the demand of the employees is that it should be increased to Rs 26,000. But it is difficult to take a decision on this in the middle of the year. The government can probably take a decision about this in next year’s budget.
If the minimum wage of central employees is 26,000, then there can be a tremendous increase in their salary. By the way, there is also a proposal that the government can also increase the minimum wage to Rs 21,000.
The Union Cabinet had released the additional installment of increase in dearness allowance of central employees on 28 September 2022 itself. Along with this, the government has approved the payment of dearness allowance and dearness relief payable to central employees and pensioners with effect from July 1, 2022. The dearness allowance of central employees has been increased by 4 percent.
